G380: Our New Autonomous Research Vehicle

G380: Our New Autonomous Research Vehicle

We are excited to introduce the newest member of our fleet of self-driving cars: the Hyundai Genesis G380.

The G380 is equipped, on top of the production electronics, with state-of-the art sensors that include four lidars, side radars and additional camera, which allows the vehicle to sense its environment and "see" 360 degrees. Computation is carried out either on the linux-based Nuvo computer that runs ROS, or the dSpace MicroAutoBox, which are the "brains" of our vehicle. They are powerful enough to make decisions and carry out computations in real-time

The G380 will gradually replace the Hyundai Azera, and going to be the main testbed for our full-scale vehicle tests. Stay tuned for more updates!
